Bricks, bricks and more bricks

4th June 2008
Yesterday when I went to the site I noticed that the piping conduit for the wall sockets and light switches had been preliminary installed before laying down the bricks. I noticed that the position of the sockets are not to our preference whereby, we preferred to position the sockets a bit lower at 8 inches from the ground than standard position i.e.16 inches or 40 cm from the ground. This morning, I had the privileged to meet up with the electrician, Mr. Peter, and mentioned the preferred socket position. At the same time, I also instructed him to group the air con sockets either at one corner or near the light switches as it was initially position at the centre of the wall underneath the air con. By grouping them together, it will make the interior layout to be smarter and more presentable. The sockets in the dry kithen was also re-position at the height of 1m from the ground as this will place it almost 4 inches away from the counter top of the dry kitchen. This afternoon, when I inspected the house again, I was quite happy with the changes made by the electrician...Thanks a lot mate. By tomorrow, they will start laying down the bricks at the right side of the house first i.e. the prayer room and the informal living. This will be very exciting...

The whole overview as per this afternoon

The wet and dry kitchen

Mountain of bricks at the left side of the house. There were about 30 pallets of the bricks and each pallet has 800 bricks. The total of the bricks just for the ground floor?.. I let you do the maths..

Yet more bricks at the front side of the house...
