Progress as at 31st March 2008

It has been 4 days since I last visited the site. To those who have been waiting for updates I do apologize for the slight delay since I was very busy helping out at a cousin's wedding.

Today I was very amazed with the progress that has been made so far. The contractors has completed the installation of the steel wires inside the wooden framework. According to them, they will start pouring cement by tomorrow. You may notice there are 15 white drain pipes fitted at the centre of the columns. These drain pipes will be connected to the concrete roof gutter at a later stage.

The whole view of the project so far.

The formal living hall, reception foyer and main entrance.

Overlooking the informal living room, prayer room, ablution area and the powder room.

The void in this picture will be the porte cochere (front car porch).

Back view overlooking the maids' quarter.

The drain pipe that will later be connected to the concrete roof gutter.

Upon completion of this stage, the 1st phase of the construction is considered done and the first payment to the contractor will be due by next week or so. Overall I am satisfied with the progress and I cannot wait until the house is completed.
