Choosing the paint for the main entrance poles

19th October 2008

This weekend was pretty a busy weekend for me as I was tied up with getting some of the additional fixtures for the house. Yesterday, I had an appointment with the ceiling man, Mr. Luis and he recommended some of the ceiling design based on the site visit and beam position. I also went to get the base of the fountain at Gadong for the main entrance before leaving to Kuala Belait for my family's open house. This morning, I was searching for the concrete detail design for the arch and fortunately, I managed to find one in Kiarong. The workers will install it in a few days time. At the same time, I went to the site to confirm the paint for the main entrance poles.

This picture was taken yesterday by noon which shows the true shiny colour of the roof tiles

Picture taken yesterday showing the poles being applied with undercoat and ready to be painted

The picture taken today showing one of the poles at the right being painted similar to the wall and frame

The decision was to paint the poles similar with the wall paint

The window frame installation as at yesterday

By this morning, Misbah had started putting bricks above the window frame

The round momento window (from my old house) had also been installed yesterday in the dry kitchen. This morning, the workers had plastered the wall.

The additional fixtures placed temporarily inside the house

A very interesting fixture, water fountain cost around $700. No plan to install this yet, may be next time at the backyard near the swimming pool...Heee
