Another update from Brisbane

25th September 2008

An update by Syafi & Safiya from Brisbane

At around 3pm Brisbane time today, a courier dropped a package to our home. It contains the intercom phones that daddy ordered from a company in Australia. After checking the contents, there are six intercom phones altogether and two power adapters (one is actually free of charge). Apparently, only one power adapter is needed to power up all six intercoms.

Hehehe... we're sure daddy is happy after reading this!

With these intercoms, we won't have to shout out to call anyone, especially the maid who may be busy working inside any room in the house... hehehe... That will definitely make it worth the price!

Swift progress of the house construction

25th September 2009

The work is progressing very fast despite the hot weather in Brunei for the pass couple of days. This afternoon I had a meeting with Mr. Lai and Mr. Thomas (Architect and Construction Manager) for the house paints and other detail items for the house. After visiting the site, I went to several tiles shop in Sengkurong and Jangsak area to finalize tiles selection. I may have to pop in to their shop again by tomorrow.

The latest look of House of Syafi & Safiya

21st September 2008

For the pass a week ago, I was quite busy with attending the month of Ramadhan until I did not have the time to update the progress of the house. So far, I had a week to finalize so many thing before I fly to Brisbane for the Eid or Hari Raya. Some of the items include the lighting, house tiles, the house paints, sanitary fittings and water taps.

More and more progress

15th September 2008

Its been quite a while since I post the progress of the house. The right side of the roof had been covered by the galvanized zinc and the plastering and electrical works were still going on. At the same time, I had a visitor from Wing Mah Glass for the tempered glass and door in the Master bathroom.

The Pyramid of Kampong Selayun

12th September 2008

Today I had the opportunity to visit the site twice. The first visit was just before the Friday prayer and the second one was after I took my afternoon nap around 4pm. So far the workers are working at full swing. In summary, the plastering work at the concrete gutter still continue, the electrician started working on the 1st floor and the roof workers started installing the galvanized zinc.
