The Syafi & Safiya's Arch is almost done...

This afternoon I had the pleasure to take some pictures of the house before it rains again. I was pleased to see the progress of the arch as the flower design that I bought last weekend had been placed above the arch. Just see at the pictures below, it looks very beautiful and I can't wait for them to paint it by tomorrow.

It has been raining very heavily for the pass couple of days in Brunei and this afternoon it's not an exception. I managed to take several snaps while on the way to the site and the reason being to go to the site on a rainy day was to check out if there was any leaks at the roof and also to check out the progress of the tile installation.

Managed to reach the site before it started to rain but the wind had started blowing very strongly

Unveiling the House of Syafi & Safiya

After work I had an appointment with Mr. Luis i.e. the ceiling man to discuss the quotation of the ceiling design for the whole house. To my amazement, the workers had dismantled most of the wooden scaffolding only leaving behind the one at the front car porch.

The roof is now complete...

20th October 2008

Exactly 2 months and 4 days since they started working on the roof truss, by today the roof work is officially complete. So far, I am very please and satisfy with the roof work and tiles and amazingly the roof work was only done by 3 people. The tiles work in the kids bathroom wall had also been completed and by today they had started installing tiles in the Master bathroom. This afternoon I went to Wing Mah at Beribi for pay the deposit for the tempered glass panel in the Master bathroom and the tempered glass will arrive after 1 month from Singapore.

The tiles in Safiya's bathroom had been completed. The one on the floor is the shower's border line for the aluminium glass panel.

A visit to the "Dream Village"...

Yesterday I was invited to attend a Hari Raya Open house at Awang Haji Ja'afar's crib (the CEO of Petroleum Brunei) at 'Desa Idaman', which literally means 'Dream Village' in English. I still remember few years back that several lots of these houses were sold for almost $500K depending on the sizes and design with a guarantee of a peaceful neighborhood. Furthermore, the location is conveniently located near the vicinity of Bandar Seri Begawan, just next to the Legislative Council's building at Mabohai.
